mtdt hosts all data in the market-leading Hetzner facilities. Hetzner Online is certified in accordance with DIN ISO/IEC 27001. The ISO 27001 certification, a globally recognized standard for information security, confirms that Hetzner Online GmbH and Hetzner Finland Oy have implemented a robust Information Security Management System (ISMS). The certification covers the infrastructure, operations, and customer support of Hetzner’s data center parks in Nuremberg, Falkenstein, and Helsinki. Independent audits were conducted by FOX Certification, which officially granted the certificates.

This certification ensures that Hetzner follows strict security standards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data. Access to IT systems is restricted to authenticated users only, and continuous improvements are required as part of ISO 27001 compliance. Regular audits will verify that Hetzner’s ISMS remains up-to-date and effective.

Data encryption

mtdt keeps your metadata and data fully encrypted — both in transit and at rest. For transfers, we enforce TLS 1.2 with the latest SSL standards, achieving top scores in SSL Labs security reports. For storage, we use AES-256, one of the strongest encryption algorithms available. Every object is protected with a unique key, secured further by a rotating master key.

Intrusion protection

Our systems are monitored 24/7 with intrusion detection to prevent unauthorized access. We use log analysis, policy monitoring, rootkit detection, and real-time alerts to keep your data safe at all times.
